Nissan Z Proto

You may or may not know this, however, Nissan has come out with a few performance-based vehicles. The classic Skyline was never imported to the United States. This was dubbed their GTR. The first GTR that was imported was the R35. The GTR released in 2009.

Old Generation

They also have their budget models the Nissan Z models which has a rich history of being more affordable. The Nissan 370Z manufactured from 2009 to present marks the sixth generation of Nissan’s Z-car line. They are offering the 370Z with a starting price of $30,000.00. wich is much more affordable than the $113,000.00 GT-R that they have for sale.

The Nissan Z is used for a variety of street-racing, Drifting, and all-around driving. If you get lucky you can find them in the classifieds, however, they may need some TLC or you’ll be paying a pretty penny.

The New Generation

Nissan Z Proto specifications*

  • Engine V6 twin-turbo
  • Transmission 6-speed manual (an automatic option is also in development)
  • Length 172.5 inches
  • Width 72.8 inches
  • Height 51.6 inches
  • Wheel and tire size Front: 255/40R19 Rear: 285/35R19

Looking at the specifications, this could be a fun little sports car, however, it will depend on the pricing whether this will take off. They haven’t yet released the pricing on the car.

For those that are a part of the Nissan Z culture and club,  are excited for the new iteration of the Z Proto. It’s always interesting to see the way the automotive industry changes over the years with a new culture and new technology.  If you get a chance to watch the Z Proto video, it shows you the different generations over the years.
