Jeep Grand Wagoneer

I just saw the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, it’s big and bulky just like the old Wagoneer was. They basically re-booted the old Wagoneer that was introduced in 1963 and was produced up until 1993.

To be honest, the only thing I remember about the old Wagoneer is that my neighbor had one when I was growing up. Since I have been re-building my Jeep Cherokee XJ, I have noticed the old Wagoneer on the side of the road. It’s an interesting looking SUV. I don’t know what the interior of the Wagoneer looks like. I’m not sure how well the old Wagoneer would have performed out on the trails.

The New Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Moving into the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer, at this point, it’s only a concept vehicle. The Grand Wagoneer was unveiled at the Detroit auto show on September 3rd. It marks the rebirth of a classic and premium American icon. Some of the features include:

• Third Row Seating
• Independent Front and Rear suspension
• Quadra-Lift air suspension
• LED projector headlamps
• LED taillamps
• full-pane glass roof

The Interior

This new updated version of the Wagoneer has been touted as having a spacious, upscale, ultra-comfortable interior. However, the Grand Wagoneer is a modern expression of the original, ultimate, premium SUV

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer will come out as a plush high scale SUV. With Jeep Pricing I’m sure it will start around $60,000.00. I don’t know about you, however, that seems to be quite a chunk of change to spend on something to take out and go off-roading.  I’m not saying it won’t be capable, however, that’s a lot of money to spend on that. It will be used for luxury or a mall crawler or something to tow a boat with. However, I doubt we’ll see many Jeep Grand Wagoneers out on the trails. I’m all for the new Jeep generation, however, I believe there is too much luxury coming to the future.

Production versions of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will arrive in showrooms for the 2021 auto year.
